SYNOPSIS
The Last Miller tells the story of one of the last wheat millers in Colombia, struggling to preserve a 500-year-old tradition now under threat from mining. Milciades Niño’s stone mill lies broken; he is old, sick, and unable to repair it on his own. Only one man in the entire region still knows how to fix such a mill, and Milciades waits helplessly for his arrival. Meanwhile, his children—seeing no future in agriculture or in the mill—risk their lives each day in a nearby coal mine.
